Portland
Maine 2025
We
are meant to spend time with our
grandchildren, especially when they are young, and especially when they
are so
far away! So off we went again to the USA to do just that.
As in the past, we have been asked by our son (Yoni) and
daughter-in-law (Liz)
not to post Eva’s face anywhere, but you can see in the photos some of
the fun
situations we were in with Eva, without showing her (beautiful!) face.
We spent
many hours with her, naturally enjoying every moment.
It was fantastic to spend time there with family, and with Daisy our
granddog,
of course. We also took a weekend trip to Connecticut to stay
with Liz’s
parents. And Larry’s brother Marc also lives in Connecticut, so he came
down to
see us there too.
We walked around Portland, which is a beautiful city - especially with
all the
snow. We even ate at a Lebanese
restaurant! It was delicious, healthy, and the service by the
owner was
excellent.

Ice cleats. They make walking on slippery snow/ice so much more sturdy.

At the beginning of this clip, you see us walking on an impacted path in the snow.
But if we were to step off the path, we would sink down to our knees, like we do later in the clip
